Day Abes 2021
The Journées Abes 2021 will take place on 12 and 13 October at the Corum in Montpellier. The programme will be unveiled before the summer and registration will open at the beginning of the school year. The "Café biblio" sequence (demos, forums and hackathon) is maintained. For the demos, however, the modalities change: they will take place in the amphitheatre.

PRE-PUBLICATION OF THE RIC-O ONTOLOGY : just as the library world has its own conceptual data model - IFLA LRM - the archive world has developed the Records In Context Conceptual Model (RIC - CM). This model is based on an ontology (RIC - O) that could become the basis for a future format for reporting archival data by entities. The RIC - O ontology is now pre-published to collect the first opinions of professionals.

GUIDE TO THE MANAGEMENT OF HERITAGE DOCUMENTS: the Ministry of Culture's Department of Books and Reading has announced the updating of this reference document, particularly with regard to the new procedures for exercising the State's right of pre-emption during electronic auctions. Please note: this guide does not only apply to manuscripts but also to patrimonial books.
STATISTICS:Abes proposes to send institutions that so wish statistics in addition to those available on Webstats : components published in the consultation interface, components in the production database, EAD files published and produced before 1 January 2021. The Correspondents Calames have been informed of this.
CORRECTION OF EAD FILE TITLES" PROJECT: the Calames team atAbes has launched a project to correct the titles of EAD files in the production database. The insertion of the RCR Calames at the beginning of the title will make it possible in the near future to provide each institution with more statistics to measure its activity on the files not yet published. The team would like to thank the 18 institutions that collaborated on this project.
WG CALAMES: some members of the WG Calames volunteered to work on two areas to be developed in the near future: defining the statistical needs not yet covered and working on the new portal for access to online documentation.

UNDUBLISHING INSTRUCTIONS: the procedure for contacting Cataloguing Correspondents in the event of a request for information or notification of a merger of bibliographic records has been updated and clarified. A model message is proposed in the manual. Follow-up document templates, proposed by Evelyne Charrier (University of Lorraine Libraries), whom we thank, are available in the "Network contributions" tab.

VISIBILITY OF ACCESS TO ELECTRONIC RESOURCES:Abes is looking into the possibility of extending the use of the B856 area to display more clearly on Sudoc the electronic resources available to the ESR. The coordinators Sudoc, in consultation with the administrators of the SGB, will be invited to respond to an online survey on the use of this zone during the month of June.
