CASUHAL 2021 DAYS : on the occasion of these days, videos of interviews with actors of Open Science in Occitania have been produced. They talk about Hal, institutional archives, digital identity of researchers,Abes and IdRref (among others).
CANAL-U, NEW IDREF CONTRIBUTOR: the reporting of videos in the ESR audiovisual platform, Canal-U, will soon be linked to IdRef and contributors will use this application to link to existing authorities or create new ones. BIBLIOPAT DAYS: they will take place on 2 and 3 December 2021, at the Médiathèque de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine, in Charenton-le-Pont, on the theme "Heritage trends through recent projects". Our colleagues from La contemporaine and from the library of the University of Lorraine will speak.
STOP OF CALAMES IE VERSION: it is reminded that the "Calames IE" version of the production tool Calames will no longer be in use as of January 2022 and must be replaced by the "Calames Office" version. In institutions where Calames IE is still in use, the Correspondent Calames is invited to informAbes as soon as possible (write to calames[at]abes.fr).
DOCUMENTATION: the new documentation portal Calames is now online: it provides quicker and more intuitive access to content, in particular by distinguishing between help for the three profiles "Correspondent", "Cataloguer" and "Computer Scientist". In addition, a major effort has been made to enhance the existing manuals.

STAR ADAPTS TO UNIMARC NEW FEATURES: the Unimarc new features implemented in January 2022 will be of great interest to cataloguers of theses and academic works: possibility to enter new types of numbers in B029, note fields on the funding of the described resource or on its access rights, new function code "academic supervisor" for HDRs, dissertations, internship reports etc. Beware, however, that all these new features cannot be used from January for the reporting of electronic doctoral theses in STAR (and STEP). An update will be given in October to the Network Correspondents on the deployment of the application evolutions in 2022 and 2023. Instructions on how to use the system will be provided as and when they are implemented.

      Spotlight on

Diagnostic tools for the quality of Sudoc

The cataloguers of the Sudoc network were already familiar with "CheckSudoc" (created by Yves Tomic) and, since the Journées Abes 2019 (it was presented there) "VerifSudoc", designed and used by the SCD of the University of Paris.
There is now a new tool "KaliDoS", the result of a partnership between the SCD Claude Bernard University and students of the Master "Information and Web Technology".
