The data produced by the member libraries of the Sudoc network is exported to each Library Management System (LMS ) on a daily or weekly basis as part of the Regular Transfer service.
Each establishment can benefit from the enrichments and corrections made to the data by other professionals in the network and/or by the network itselfAbes, which guarantees the harmonisation of data within the different environments.
Local catalogues are updated by loading files of records (bibliographic / authority / copy) created or modified since the last extraction.
The files transmitted comply with ISO 2709, the international standard for the exchange of bibliographic data. They are transferred via exchange protocols adapted to the different contexts (FTP / SFTP / SRU) according to different methods:
- direct deposit on an institution's server
- made available on aAbes
Each institution has its own customised settings according to its specific needs (see the settings of each institution and their BMS).
